Betty Kaye (1910 - 2003) (M M Kaye's sister)
Betty KayeBetty Kaye was christened in Simla's Christ Church as Dorothy Elizabeth - but was always known as Bets - on 13 October, 1910. Bets honed her craft by being allowed to sit behind the renowned artist Hal Bevan-Petman whenever he was doing one of his pastel portraits (provided she didn't make a sound and his sitter didn't object) to watch how he did it.
